Groveland Recreation Committee's purpose is to design, promote and support programs and services to fill the recreational needs of the community. The Committee sponsors spring softball open to girls in kindergarten through grade nine; summer softball, winter elementary basketball open to boys and girls in grades one through six. In addition, the Recreation Committee sponsors Groveland Day, and co-sponsors other Town-wide activities.
In the past few years, the Committee has built new dugouts at the Pines recreation area, purchased a pitching machine, batting cage, new fencing and resurfaced the infields at the Pines; purchased equipment to maintain the softball field, and purchased new bases. In addition, the Recreation Committee contributed money to purchase adjustable basketball nets for the Bagnall School and to purchase a scoreboard, as well as contributed toward the purchase of picnic tables and grills for the new Johnson’s Pond picnic area.. The Committee works closely with other recreational groups such as Groveland Little League, Groveland Soccer, etc.

This event is run by GYS for the friends, families, neighbors of Groveland
This is a family event that has been the talk of the town since we started it in 2011.
GYS encourages everyone to come down to Shanahan Field and enjoy a night of fun!!!
We have games, rides and food!!!
All proceeds go directly to GYS.
